Lena Waithe’s Wife Alana Mayo Files for Divorce
Lena Waithe’s wife Alana Mayo has reportedly filed for a divorce after being married for almost one year. The couple initially announced their separation 10 months ago, just two months after they tied the knot.
The Blast reports that according to court documents, Mayo filed a petition for divorce in a Los Angeles Superior Court this week.

As we reported, they revealed news of their split in a statement to People back in January. Prior to their short-lived wedding, they had been together for over three years.
“After careful thought and consideration, we have decided to part ways,” they said. “We have nothing but support for one another and ask that you respect our privacy during this time.”
Following news of their split, Lena was spotted with actress Cynthia Erivo, and they apparently began living together in Los Angeles shortly after. Reports at the time claimed that Lena may have been unfaithful to Alana as she was reportedly purchasing expensive gifts for other women.
LoveBScott reports that there were “multiple instances of Lena’s infidelity,” and according to their source, Lena’s alleged cheating continued after they were married.
“Even after they married, Lena was still buying designer gifts — Chanel, Gucci — for other women.”
