Lee Daniels Issues Public Apology To ‘Best Friend’ Mo’Nique: ‘I Am So Sorry, I Love You’

Earlier we shared that Mo’Nique and Lee Daniels have ended their 13-year feud, stemming from the 2009 movie ‘Precious’ — the film that saw Mo’Nique became and Oscar-winning actress, with Lee as producer. Now, footage has surfaced of him apologizing to Mo on stage at a Long Island, NY show of hers.

In a clip that’s surfaced, Lee is hugging Mo and says, “It took me a long time to realize. I am so sorry for hurting you in any way that I did. Y’all she was my best friend. Y’all think that ‘Precious’ was just—that was, that was God working through both of us. And we gonna f***king do it again.” Before giving Mo the microphone back, he says to her. “I love you. I love you. I love you.” Mo replies, “I love you.”
