Neftlix’s highly anticipated animated series MY DAD THE BOUNTY HUNTER is out now and it is already making a hit with sci-fi fans and newbies to the genre. With its great premise and star-studded cast, the animation is definitely setting the standard as it isĀ an original black-led animated series, and is loved by children and parents.
To celebrate the release, we spoke with Laz Alonso, Yvonne Orji, Everett Downing Jr., Patrick Harpin,Ā Priah Ferguson, andĀ JeCobi Swain.
We touched on the inspiration behind the show, creativity, and bringing more black and brown representation to sci-fi and animation all around. While speaking to the stars we got into the lack of representation in sci-fi growing up and how it all starts in the writer’s rooms and behind the scenes of the shows. MY DAD THE BOUNTY HUNTER has so many Easter eggs that pay homage to classic sci-fi films and tv but with their own modern and unique touches, while also implementing many relatable life lessons
