Keke Palmer and Law Roach may not always see eye to eye, but one thing they can agree on is that it’s “always love” between them.

During a panel discussion for Law’s new book, “How to Build a Fashion Icon: Notes on Confidence from the World’s Only Image Architect,” the well-respected stylist recalled the time he worked with the actress, who ultimately decided he wasn’t the best stylist for her.

“So when me and Keke started working, we worked together years and years and years ago,” the image architect began sharing. “It didn’t quite work out, but we always loved each other. It was always love. It was always love.” Speaking more about their sweet friendship, the fashion icon went on to explain that they started working together again when Keke was pregnant with her son, Leodis “Leo” Andrellton, whom she welcomed back in February 2023. “And I’m like, ‘Oh, let’s show the baby bump,’” Roach recalled. “I’m bringing all these clothes and I could never get the clothes right. And one time she actually called me, she said, ‘You might be the best stylist in the world, but you’re not the best stylist for me.’ I f*****g love it.” Palmer chimed in and jokingly replied, “Law lives for a drag,” PEOPLE quotes.

“I love it, I love it,” Roach added before he went on to say, “But she was right though because in my mind I had this idea of how I wanted to present her. I wanted her to be proud of the baby bump and show it off. And it was her personal prerogative; she didn’t want to give it to the world yet.” The stylist then told Palmer, “So I will always love you.”
