Days after “You People” hit the top 10 on Netflix’s watch list, it was revealed that Lauren London and Jonah Hill reportedly didn’t kiss each other on set, and their kiss was created through CGI.

The news was confirmed by cast member Andrew Schulz who told Charlamagne Tha God during an episode of Brilliant Idiots and described what happened while filming the movie’s final scene. He says, “I don’t know if I should share this here, but in the final scene of ‘You People,’ they don’t even kiss. It’s CGI. I’m there; I’m watching the wedding, and I see them going for the kiss, and their faces are like this far.”

Schulz continued to say that he wondered how they would make the final kiss scene work in the movie. “[I thought] oh, they’re probably going to cut right there, but if you see the movie, you can see their faces come close, and then you can see their faces morph a little bit into a fake kiss,” he further explained.

After the video clip went viral on Twitter, several users who saw the movie made their assumptions about why London and Hill didn’t perform an actual kiss on set. One user said,“Lmao idk why they even did the movie if nobody on the project was going to bother creating a believable romantic chemistry for a movie about two people in LOVE about to get married 💀 the whole time watching it I kept saying they literally just seem like friends.” Additionally, fans compared another kissing scene where London was kissing Michael B. Jordan in the Amazon Prime film, ‘Tom Clancy’s: Without Remorse.’
