During the “Real Housewives of Miami” reunion special that aired this week, Larsa Pippen was asked about her choice to wear box braids and she quickly defended herself from viewers who accused her of cultural appropriation.
As Andy Cohen read fans’ questions, he told Larsa, “Watching the tease for the season, I noticed you were sporting braids in the Bahamas. Fashion-wise, you can pull it off. But do you think it’s really culturally appropriate? I think you’re going to get a lot of backlash.”
Larsa replied: “I mean, I’m not white. So I don’t know, my mom used to wear braids…My grandparents are Moroccan. My mom had braids when she was a kid. I’ve been braiding my hair every time I’ve gone on vacation since I can remember.” She also went on to note that she has a braider for her children, who are mixed.
“I have a braider who comes and braids my kids’ hair every 10 days,” she explained. “My son’s had braids literally for the last four years.”
Speaking more about rocking braids, she also said it’s convenient for her, especially when going on vacation. “I don’t want to have to deal with my hair.”
In her defense, her castmate, Kiki Barth chimed in to say: “I feel like anybody should rock whatever they want to. As long as it looks good on you, I think we should just embrace it.”

Aside from all the attention over her looks,, Miss Pippen has been getting way more attention since she’s been dating Marcus Jordan, 32, the son of legendary basketball player Michael Jordan.
The two sparked dating speculation when they were seen on a lunch date in September 2022. At the time, a source told US weekly that they. are “dating and have been spending more time together in recent weeks.” The source also mentioned noted that the twosome was trying to keep their relationship under wraps “because of the rift between Scottie [Pippen] and Michael [Jordan].”

During the special, Larsa also got super candid about what it was like being married to Scottie for over two decades.
“I was married for 23 years, I’ve always had sex like four times a night,” she said. “So three times a week is nothing… I had sex four times a night, every night. I never had a day off for 23 years.”

Lisa Hochstein responded: “Your poor vagina!” Larsa also added that she and Scottie “never spent time away from each other,” even when he had to go on the road for work. “We had a private plane, I traveled with my kids.”
Cohen then said: “Marcus has big shoes to fill,” referring to Larsa’s current partner, Marcus Jordan. “He wears a size 15 shoe,” replied Larsa without missing a beat, “so I think he’s OK.”
