On Wednesday (August 6), Pippen was photographed during a segment of FOX 5 New York’s ‘Good Night New York.’ Photos from her appearance went viral. Fans were left concerned about the ‘Real Housewives of Miami’ star possibly going overboard with fillers and plastic surgery.

However, on Saturday (August 8), Larsa Pippen took to her Instagram Story and addressed the concerns about her face. She said, “Hey guys, you can relax. I had therapy on my face a couple days ago. So, my face was a bit swollen. It looks like it’s coming down. So, you guys can just calm down.”

One social user, Dr. Mai Kaga, who specializes in “aesthetic and concierge medicine,” made a video criticizing Pippen’s appearance. The reality star fired back in her comment section and said, “Honey, I had PRP and had an allergic reaction. So, chill out.”

Dr. Kaga replied to Pippen’s comment and said:

“Double board certified physician here, AKA Honey. Allergic reactions to PRP are extremely rare. You simply will not find allergies to your own blood cells all that common. Second- allergic reactions don’t last 3 seasons on a streaming network.

Honestly, this post really was not about Larsa, but about cautioning the current and future generations about being over treated and overfilled, unnecessarily and covering up your own natural features that make you uniquely beautiful. If even one person can learn from us pointing out what being overfilled looks like, it’s worth this weaka** clap back.”

When the backlash and rumors failed to die down, Pippen took to her Instagram Story again. Hours after her first post, she slammed her “haters” and insisted she had “an allergic reaction to PRP.” She said:

“Okay. So, I feel like that photo went viral—I’m wondering if someone made it look like that. Because this is what my face looks like, you guys. I’m on TV, so you know what I look like. I just shot my reunion a couple of days ago. So, you’ll see what I look like at my reunion. I did have PRP. I did have an allergic reaction to the PRP, which I didn’t even know you could have. So, my face is a bit swollen. But, it doesn’t look like that. So, keep on hating guys.”
