Lana Del Rey Finally Responds To Mesh Mask Backlash: ‘The Mask Had Plastic On The Inside’
As we reported last month, singer-songwriter Lana Del Rey caught serious backlash after popping out in Los Angeles sporting a mesh mask amid the coronavirus pandemic. Over a month later, she’s finally responding to the hysteria.
As a refresher, in early October, Lana made a surprise appearance at a Los Angeles Barnes & Noble for a book signing for her newest release, ‘Violet Bent Backwards Over the Grass.’ While at the store, the singer made an announcement about her signing, and immediately fans called her out for her glittery mesh face mask.

While taking to Twitter nearly two months later, Lana quote retweeted an article about her getting “canceled,” and said, “Great article. The mask had plastic on the inside. They’re commonly sewn in by stylists these days. I don’t generally respond to articles because I don’t care. But there ya go. Same goes for everyone’s masks in my video. I’m lucky enough to have a team of people who can do that.”
