LaMelo Ball Will Donate 1 Month’s Salary To Australia Wildfire Victims

As deadly wildfires continue to destroy acres of land in Australia, people around the world are coming together to help the victims.

According to ESPN Australia’s Corey Williams. a rep fro Ball confirmed that he would be donating one month of his salary to the affected victims.

“It’s sad to see what is happening on the South Coast of Australia,” Ball said on Twitter. “People have lost their homes and everything they own. My parents taught me to help out wherever I can, so this is my way of helping out.”

As we reported, the heavy heat and a prolonged drought have fueled large-scale fires across the continent. It has devastated states like New South Wales and Victoria, tearing across more than 14 million acres, destroying thousands of homes and killing at least 19.

Ball is part of The Illawarra Hawks, in the Australian basketball league.
