Love to see it! Lamar Odom is starting a new business!
While speaking with TMZ, he gave more details on his new business venture. The former athlete shared that he will be aiming to find affordable living for seniors in California, after being inspired by his grandmother.
He’ll be partnering with Regency Palms Senior Living in Oxnard and Long Beach to start Odom Senior Care, where he’ll provide affordable and luxurious care for seniors. The idea and inspiration came from his 96-year-old grandmother, Florence, who has lived alone in the same Bronx apartment for 70 years. After running into a few issues earlier this year while trying to find a new home for grandma, he realized he needed to get into the senior living business not only to help his sweet grandmother but other people looking to find a safe Senior home for their loved one… and for an affordable price. Lamar notes that adequate senior living is just too expensive and he’s now dedicated to changing that.
Per the outlet already the outlet, the 43-year-old already has 2 facilities in SoCal but plans to expand as he has a goal of providing seniors with pre-negotiated rates in 1,000 communities, TMZ reports. He plans to hit this goal by the end of the year.

In addition to this, Lamar also has the Odom Recovery Group to help folks find sobriety, something that he launched earlier this year as well.
Back in April while speaking with TMZ, Lamar he vowed to save lives as he invested in multiple rehab centers in California. His main goal for the rehab is to use these centers to help people suffering from addiction — an incredible move from the former NBA player, who has long been open about his own struggles with substance abuse.
The facilities will consist of a women’s residential treatment home and two men’s detox and residential treatment homes. A rep told the outlet at the time that Lamar is vowing to be “highly involved” even with the patients at the facilities. The rep adds that Lamar is “ready to start saving lives.”
Since launching, reality star Honey Boo Boo’s father Sugar Bear was scheduled to fly and begin treatment with Odom Recovery Group for his serious issues. However, we’re told he sadly never got on a flight.
Although this will all be a big challenge, Lamar Odom is focused on turning people’s lives around for the better.
