iCarly is back for another season on Paramount+ and to celebrate our favorite childhood show, we sat down with Laci Mosley and Jaidyn Triplett on what to expect this season, pressures of joining the show back in season 1 and how refreshing it is to see more black and brown representation in shows that we grew up with.
Harper and Millicent bring us Gen-Z and millennial characters that everyone in today’s world can relate too and we love every moment of it.
The original iCarly ran for six seasons from 2007 to 2012 and followed Carly Shay as she embarked on making a web series before the major Youtube takeover we see now. What is special about the series on Paramount + is that it grew up with us and is not a remake of the show, rather Carly and her friends are navigating adulthood like us in our late 20s and early 30s, and dealing with the struggles of adult life and growing up. It is nostalgia, it is funny and it gives us a nice escape back to the best time of our lives, childhood.
