After an 11-year marriage, La La has filed for divorce from her husband, Carmelo Anthony.

The divorce was filed at a New York court on Thursday where it cited irreconcilable differences. According to TMZ, close friends of the couple claimed that they have been separated for a while and have remained friends. They added that their divorce is more on friendlier terms to ensure a smooth transition for their son, Kiyan,14, and will continue to co-parent.
Previously, the couple had split in 2017 after rumors of Carmelo cheating on Lala but the couple got back together in 2018. However, a year later, La La said their marriage was strained after more cheating rumors resurfaced.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the marriage faced more issues as the family quarantined together in 2020. A statement from La La and Carmelo Anthony regarding the divorce has yet to be released.
