Kenosha shooter Kyle Rittenhouse’s mother has accused the two lawyers who have raised millions for his bail fund to pay off their debts instead of helping her son get out of jail last year.

Wendy Rittenhouse sat down with the New Yorker to discuss how her family didn’t receive the donations that were raised by the #FightBack Foundation, an organization founded by celebrity attorney John Pierce. Pierce stepped down as a member of the board back in September to avoid any conflict of interest in regards to the donations. Wendy accused Pierce of using the money to pay off his debts.
She also questioned the attorneys’ motives after Kyle remained in jail a month after $2 million were raised in donations last October.

Pierce also owed the family $40,000 in living expenses but he refused after Kyle was bailed out of jail. ‘He said we owed him millions—he ‘freed Kyle,” she added. Pierce has denied all claims made by the Rittenhouse family and Lin Wood, known for his QAnon support, is currently CEO of the foundation. Wood said the allegations made by the family are also false.
