The 17-year-old shooter appeared in court earlier today where his attorney, John Pierce, claimed he will be fighting his extradition to Wisconsin to face the murder charges. Rittenhouse appeared via Zoom while he remains at the Lake County Juvenile Detention Center in Illinois. As reported by Insider, Rittenhouse remained quiet throughout the hearing with the exception of saying “Good Morning, your honor” to the judge.

Pierce said during the meeting that his firm did not receive extradition documentation from Illinois or Wisconsin but the judge expects Rittenhouse to be served within the next few days.
