Kris Jenner Trying To “Financially Ruin” Blac Chyna With $391K Demand — Chyna’s Lawyer Claims

As we previously reported, the Kardashians are demanding Blac Chyna pay them $391K after she lost her defamation lawsuit against them.

The Kardashians‘ lawyers recently filed paperwork setting out exactly how much they want from Chyna after a judge ordered last month that she would be paying their litigation costs because she was the one to sue them. The legal team claims they spent more than $391,094 throughout the years-long proceedings. Not only is the famous family demanding $184,871.71 for money spent on “models, enlargements, and photocopies of exhibits,” but also $97,000 worth of “uncategorized” costs. They also include service of process ($9,325.99), hosting electronic documents ($7,248.35), court reporter fees ($19,895), and more. To note, the $390,000 does not include the Kardashians’ attorney fees, per TMZ.

So how does Chyna feel about this? Well according to her lawyer, she thinks they’re trying to hit her where it hurts… her pockets! In a statement to Page Six, Lynne Ciani, who represented Chyna in her recent two-week trial against the reality TV stars, said “Kris Jenner’s attempt to financially ruin Angela White, the mother of her granddaughter Dream Kardashian, will not work,” Ciani said. The lawyer explained that, under California law, costs are only awarded to defendants “when they are without fault.” However, she says the jury came to a verdict that both Kris and Kylie Jenner “falsely claimed” Chyna had abused her ex-fiancé, Rob Kardashian.

“The same Los Angeles jury reached a verdict that defendants Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian, and Kylie Jenner did not act reasonably and in good faith to protect their own economic interests in the ‘Rob & Chyna’ show,” Ciani’s statement continued. Because Ms. White achieved these litigation objectives, defendants cannot be considered ‘prevailing parties’ under California law, and they cannot recover their exorbitant litigation costs of $391,000 from Ms. White.”

Back Story On What Happened

Chyna, who shares daughter Dream, five, with her ex Rob,  sued the famous family for defamation and alleged interference with her E! show contract. She accused them of getting the second season of her E! show Rob & Chyna canceled in 2017 and of ruining her reality TV career. Chyna was seeking around $40million for lost earnings and approximately $60million in future earnings.

Following two days of deliberation, the court revealed the jury ruled that no damages would be awarded to the model.

After her loss, Chyna shared a message of support on her Instagram Stories from her friend. It read: “What’s right is right and what’s wrong is wrong… I have gotten a lot of messages about my home girl Blac Chyna asking me what’s up. Just want to put this out there, in the almost 10 years of knowing Chyna she has always had a great heart and always looked out for her kid’s best interests. You’re an amazing mom. You are also a very hard-working person and entrepreneur.”
