In a recent promo clip for an upcoming episode of The Kardashians, it was revealed that Kris Jenner, the matriarch of the Kardashian-Jenner family, learned about her daughter Kourtney’s pregnancy through the media. This surprising revelation left Kris feeling shocked and caught off guard.
As previously reported, news of Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker expecting their first child together was initially announced by Kourtney herself during a Blink-182 concert. However, it seems that Kris was not aware of this exciting development until she saw it in the news… just like everyone else.
In the promo clip, Khloe Kardashian shared that Kris’s initial reaction to learning about Kourtney’s pregnancy through the media was one of disbelief. She even mentioned feeling like she was being “Punk’d,” referring to the popular prank show hosted by Ashton Kutcher.
In a preview for this week’s episode of The Kardashians, her sister Khloe Kardashian says: “My mom found out on the news. She wasn’t very happy.” Kris then added: “I thought I was being Punk’d.”
Either way, her mom is thrilled to have another grandchild on the way. Kourtney already has Mason, 13, Penelope, 11, and eight-year-old Reign with former partner Scott Disick.

In a recent interview with Vogue Magazine, she opened up about her pregnancy journey. As we previously reported, she underwent emergency surgery that saved her unborn baby’s life.
She said, “It was terrifying. After I learned that insurance typically only covers two ultrasounds when you’re pregnant, I had no idea. I’ve always been lucky enough to do more than what insurance covers, and it’s one of those ultrasounds that saved my baby’s life.”
Last month Kourtney also documented the ordeal online, while sharing pics of her and Barker. In a heartfelt caption, she said, “I will be forever grateful to my incredible doctors for saving our baby’s life.”
“I am eternally grateful to my husband who rushed to my side from tour to be with me in the hospital and take care of me afterwards, my rock. And to my mom, thank you for holding my hand through this.”
