Kodak Black Reps Say Rapper Was ‘Badly Beaten’ By 7 Prison Guards
On Sunday (May 3), representatives for rapper Kodak Black took to his Instagram page, claiming that he was involved in an altercation with seven prison guards, who left him “badly beaten.”
Inmates at a Maximum Penitentiary in Big Sandy, Kentucky, where Black is serving time for his federal weapons case, reportedly told his team that he wasn’t allowed phone or visitation rights for six months as punishment for the incident that took place while he was incarcerated in Miami (where he accused federal prison officials of abuse). The inmates added that the rapper was also handcuffed and beaten by several guards on Friday.

Additionally, reps say the rapper was hit in the head multiple times with a metal object, and that one guard flicked his genitals, stating, “you’re not so gangster now, you’re gonna need bigger b*lls to survive.” His team says that they’ve notified his attorneys, requesting a full investigation by the department of justice and the FBI.
Black’s attorney, Bradford Cohen, released a statement on social media as well, confirming the request for investigation. He adds, “There are recordings of the witnesses that called and stated what happened to Bill. A 22 year old man serving approx 2 years more for a non violent crime is in a max pen. 1100 miles from his family and lawyers. This is true injustice.”

In full, the post reads, “We just heard from fellow inmates at Max. Penitentiary Big Sandy KY. In regards to @kodakblack treatment. He couldn’t call himself as he is not allowed phone or visitation for 6 months as punishment for the incident in Miami, even though that has been the case since September, they refuse to give him credit for that time. Friday night he was badly beaten while in cuffs, by 7 guards at Big Sandy KY. They struck him in the head repeatedly with a metal object, Then after one of the guards flicked his genitals and said “you’re not so gangster now, you’re gonna need bigger balls to survive”. We have notified his counsel @lawronin and he advised he will be asking for a full investigation by @thejusticedept and the FBI”
