Kodak Black Calls Out JAY-Z’s Made In America Festival Organizers After They Block Him From Performing

At 6:15 p.m., Kodak was set to perform at the annual festival, which takes over the Ben Franklin Parkway in Philly. The festival includes two days of music in front of the Philadelphia Museum of Art and kicked off at 2 p.m. on Saturday.

Kodak was supposed to be front and center over on the Liberty Stage ahead of his call time, but he was a no-show. The rapper ended up arriving to the festival a little later than expected, and subsequently, he was allegedly told that he could not step foot on any stage.

While taking to his Instagram Story, Kodak updated fans as to why they weren’t going to see their favorite emcee perform tonight. Kodak said:

“Aye, Made In America, man I don’t know what’s going. This the first show ever a n***a lil late too, and a n***a can’t perform. No money, none of that sh*t.

JAY-Z, whoever running this sh*t. Roc Nation, Live Nation, whatever the f**k. Y’all do better. This the first show a n***a a lil few minutes late to, and b***h what the f**k?”

While the situation was unfortunate for Kodak Black, and especially for all of the fans that came out to see him perform, several social media users called him out for being tardy to a festival.

Many users noted how most concert and festival organizers include the importance of artists being on time in their contractual obligations; as they run a pretty tight schedule to make sure all artists included on the roster get to perform with enough time as they were given.
