Mark Schaefer and Adam Rahman claim they were shot and severely injured during Superbowl LVI weekend in February 2022 after the party at The Nice Guy in Los Angeles. According to TMZ, their suit blames the shooting on the venue, Justin Bieber, and Kodak Black. During the shoot, Kodak Black was also injured after one of his friends was jumped by an unidentified assailant, and he stepped in to help. The shooting happened moments later, and the rapper, Rahman, and Schaefer were all shot during the chaotic scene.

According to the lawsuit, Kodak Black was the main reason for the shooting, and The Nice Guy was to blame for hiring security guards who couldn’t handle the job or protect the venue.

Additionally, court documents have officially listed Justin Beiber Kodak Black, The Hwood Group, The Nice Guy, the city of Los Angeles, the city of West Hollywood, and Los Angeles County on the lawsuit, and the victims are seeking damages. Kodak Black’s attorney, Bradford Cohen, responded to the lawsuit and told TMZ that he expects the lawsuit to be dismissed immediately.
“This is the most poorly drafted complaint I have seen in 26 years. I expect Kodak to be dismissed from this suit fairly quickly. There is zero specificity in the complaint and Ms. Allred groups the defendants all together instead of making specific allegations against each. It’s law school 101. I am embarrassed for Ms. Allred that she actually signed her name to that complaint.”
Justin Bieber and The Nice Guy did not release any quotes regarding the lawsuit.
Social media responded to the lawsuit and had different views about who was responsible for the shooting.
After news of the lawsuit was released, Twitter users had a different opinion about who should be responsible for the shooting. One user wrote, “Kodak is at fault.. why mention justin just because it was after his performance?”
