Dang! Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann’s divorce is back on less than two months after calling it off and less than four months since they both originally filed. On Thursday afternoon (August 24), it’s been reported that Biermann has filed for divorce again and is seeking sole custody and child support for the couple’s four children, and some alimony for himself.
As we previously reported back in May, both Biermann and Zolciak filed separate divorce petitions, and things took a turn for the worst. Things got nasty in the media as each spouse took turns stabbing each other in the jugular. News of the couple’s first divorce filing arrived on the same day as they being accused of owing $1.1 million back taxes.
Then it was learned that Biermann ordered a psych evaluation for Zolciak, claiming she was showing “troubling behavior,” including an intense gambling habit. Biermann then alleged that Zolciak punched him in the head a day before he filed for divorce, and alleged she was a bad mom. Zolciak fired back and said Biermann is emotionally and mentally abusive.
Then two months after filing for divorce, the couple called off their divorce in July and said they wanted to keep a strong, united front for their children, and work things out. They’d soon be seen at church with their children. Days later, police body cam footage from before the couple called things off surfaced. The footage showed Biermann telling police how his wife illegally gambled away $1.5 million of their money throughout their marriage.
In the video, which took place days before Zolciak filed for divorce, Biermann said in a low voice, “It’s probably been going on for pretty much our entire marriage and it’s gotten significantly worse. In the last two-and-a-half years, she’s gambled away about $700,000 — just in the last two-and-a-half years. The total in the marriage was about $1.5 million dollars — and she does it online, illegally. So, that’s a major process I’ve been dealing with. And the process with the divorce, I’ve just obtained a lawyer today, I have to go pay them tomorrow. And then she’s probably going to be served in the next few days.”
Now, a little less than two months after calling things off, the couple’s divorce is back on. TMZ reports that Biermann filed again today (August 24) and states that his marriage is “irretrievably broken.” He also petitioned for sole legal and sole physical custody of their four kids moving forward; and he is asking for child support and alimony. Biermann is also reportedly asking for “exclusive use” of their martial home — the same home they’ve been living in throughout the on/off divorce.
