The children of the late Kim Porter have jointly shared a statement to their social media accounts denying any claims of her writing a book.

On Tuesday evening (September 24), Porter’s eldest son Quincy Brown, whom she shares with singer Al B. Sure, posted a lengthy open letter and tagged his siblings, Christian Combs and twin sisters D’Lila Combs and Jessie Combs — with whom Porter shares with Sean “Diddy” Combs

The message began, “WE HAVE SEEN SO MANY HURTFUL AND FALSE RUMORS CIRCULATING ABOUT OUR PARENTS, KIM PORTER AND SEAN COMBS’ RELATIONSHIP, AS WELL AS ABOUT OUR MOM’S TRAGIC PASSING, THAT WE FEEL THE NEED TO SPEAK OUT.”

The message continued, “CLAIMS THAT OUR MOM WROTE A BOOK ARE SIMPLY UNTRUE. SHE DID NOT. AND ANYONE CLAIMING TO HAVE A MANUSCRIPT IS MISREPRESENTING THEMSELVES. ADDITIONALLY, PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT ANY SO-CALLED ‘FRIEND’ SPEAKING ON BEHALF OF OUR MOM OR HER FAMILY IS NOT A FRIEND, NOR DO THEY HAVE HER BEST INTERESTS AT HEART. OUR LIVES WERE SHATTERED WHEN WE LOST OUR MOTHER. SHE WAS OUR WORLD. AND NOTHING HAS BEEN THE SAME SINCE SHE PASSED.”

The message added, “WHILE IT HAS BEEN INCREDIBLY DIFFICULT TO RECONCILE HOW SHE COULD BE TAKEN FROM US TOO SOON, THE CAUSE OF HER DEATH HAS LONG BEEN ESTABLISHED. THERE WAS NO FOUL PLAY. GRIEF IS A LIFELONG PROCESS. AND WE ASK THAT EVERYONE RESPECT OUR REQUEST FOR PEACE AS WE CONTINUE TO COPE WITH HER LOSS EVERY DAY. WE ARE DEEPLY SADDENED THAT THE WORLD HAS MADE A SPECTACLE OF WHAT HAS BEEN THE MOST TRAGIC EVENT OF OUR LIVES.”

Concluding, the message read, “OUR MOTHER SHOULD BE REMEMBERED FOR THE BEAUTIFUL, STRONG, KIND, AND LOVING WOMAN SHE WAS. HER MEMORY SHOULD NOT BE TAINTED BY HORRIFIC CONSPIRACY THEORIES. WE ASK THAT EVERYONE PLEASE RESPECT OUR MOTHER, KIM PORTER. AND HOLD HER LEGACY IN HIGH REGARD SO THAT SHE MAY REST IN PEACE. IT’S WHAT SHE DESERVES. WE LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU MOMMY. QUINCY, CHRISTIAN, JESSIE & D’LILA.”

The message shared by Kim Porter’s children arrives just one day after her ex Al B. Sure called for an investigation into “a group of individuals” following the release of a “fictitious” Kim Porter book. In his recent Instagram post, Sure formally requested an investigation into a “group of individuals who were close to Porter, including publicists who allegedly played a role in drafting the now-controversial book.

He raised serious concerns regarding the theft of Porter’s personal devices, which he believes contained original manuscript notes that were crucial to understanding her true story. He vehemently criticized the published work, claiming it included fabricated narratives and graphic sexual content that never occurred, asserting that these edits were made posthumously to tarnish both Porter’s and his own reputation.
