Kim Kardashian is Officially A Single Woman
As expected, a judge has granted Kim Kardashian’s request to end her marriage to Kanye West and now both are officially single.
It happened this Wednesday as Kim joined a video call for today’s court hearing with Kanye being absent. However, his lawyer did not object to restoring Kim’s single status.
As we exclusively reported, before the hearing, Kanye explained to us why he directed his lawyers to expedite his divorce. He said: “I’ve asked my team to expedite the dissolution of my marriage to Kim so I can put my entire attention into our beautiful children,” YE said Tuesday.
The ruling comes nearly three months after she asked the judge to change her marital status. An eager Kim had filed docs back in December saying “no counseling or reconciliation effort will be of any value at this time.” In a recent request, she claimed that Kanye’s Instagram posts were causing her emotional distress. While reports claimed that Kanye objected a few times, it was made clear that he didn’t have intentions to do that again.
Kardashian and West started dating in 2012 and wed in May 2014. They share four children: North, 8, Saint, 6, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 2½. After nearly 7 years together, Kardashian filed for divorce from West in February 2021. The former couple’s divorce is still ongoing.
Kim has been showboating with SNL co-star Pete Davison for a few months while Kanye has since been linked to Chaney Jones following his split from actres Julia Fox.
