A former worker of Khloe Kardashian is suing the reality star in hopes of getting what he thinks he deserves!

Matthew Manhard who was Khloe’s household assistant started working for the Good American co-founder in 2019. However, in a new lawsuit, he claims he was let go from his role in November 2022 upon return. In the docs obtained by @tmz_tv, Manhard states that he told Khloe he was unable to work as a result of an injury he sustained in May 2022. However, he says when he returned to work six months later, his role was allegedly terminated.

Manhard went on to point out in his lawsuit that during his time as an assistant, he was unable to take his legally required breaks due to the heavy workload and his day-to-day duties during his shift. To make matters worse, he also claims he wasn’t paid overtime on days he worked long 12-hour shifts. As a result of all of this, Manhard is seeking monetary compensation as he believes she violated a bunch of California labor laws. So what do Khloe’s reps have to say about this? Well in a statement to TMZ, Khloe’s legal spokesperson says,

“It’s unfortunate to learn that a former employee would choose to go this route. Matthew was properly classified and compensated for his role.”

Khloe’s legal spokesperson went on to clarify, “Manhard’s time working for Khloe: “Toward the end of his employment, he was on a leave of absence for an extended period of time and the role eventually needed to be replaced. We will not tolerate false accusations and will prove that this is a frivolous lawsuit.”

Khloe isn’t the only Kardashian sister to have legal problems with an ex-employee. Back in May 2022, Kim Kardashian faced a similar lawsuit by a staffer who claimed they were underpaid and not given breaks.

“Plaintiffs never received any paystubs, were not paid on regular pay periods, were not given their required meal and rest breaks, were not provided a means to record all their hours, were not paid all their hours, were not reimbursed for employment expenses, were not paid all their overtime wages, and were not paid their wages upon termination of employment,” the suit claimed, according to NBC News.

At the time, the lawsuit did not include an amount sought from Kardashian West, but stated that “the matter in controversy, exclusive of interest, exceeds $25,000”.

Meanwhile, a representative said in a statement that Kim Kardashian could not be held responsible since the employees came through an unnamed “vendor”.

“These workers were hired and paid through a third-party vendor hired by Kim to provide ongoing services. Kim is not party to the agreement made between the vendor and their workers, therefore she is not responsible for how the vendor manages their business and the agreements they have made directly with their staff. Kim has never not paid a vendor for their services and hopes that the issue between these workers and the vendor who hired them can be amicably resolved soon.”
