Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson welcomed their baby boy via surrogate last year. The Good American co-founder, who had been keeping the name of her second child under wraps until the season premiere of The Kardashians on Hulu, finally confirmed that her son’s name is Tatum last month.
Now, before the birth of their precious baby boy, things were not so good between Khloe and Tristan. As many are aware, the two had broken up after it was publicly revealed he fathered another child with another woman named Maralee Nichols. At the time, Khloe and Tristan were still in a relationship and were even thinking about marriage. Despite all the drama and split, the two went ahead to have their second child together through a surrogate.
According to a new report by @tmz_tv, Khloe initially gave her son her last name when he was born. While it’s not immediately clear why she decided to go the Kardashian route, the news site reported that she later changed it to Thompson.

In 2021, the fitness model originally made headlines after she sued the NBA star for child support after claiming he got her pregnant in March 2021. Back in December 2021, Nichols gave birth to a son Theo, and a paternity test confirmed Thompson is the father of her child.
In a lengthy statement, Thompson publicly apologized to Khloe Kardashian for embarrassing her once again with another scandal.
He said at the time, “Paternity test results revealed that I fathered a child with Maralee Nichols. I take full responsibility for my actions. Now that paternity has been established I look forward to amicably raising our son. I sincerely apologize to everyone I’ve hurt or disappointed throughout this ordeal both publicly and privately” he wrote on his IG stories. “Khloe, you don’t deserve the heartache and humiliation my actions have caused you. You don’t deserve the way I have treated you over the years” he continued. My actions certainly have not lined up with the way I view you. I have the utmost respect and love for you. Regardless of what you may think. Again, I am so incredibly sorry.”
While things were rocky between all parties, Khloe and Tristan seemed to have gotten on a cordial level and even friendly, for the sake of their kids.
On a recent episode of The Kardashians, Khloe even explained how good they are and despite that, they are not getting back together.
“Tristan and I, we always get along great. Him and I have a great friendship relationship, we get along fine, and for my kids, I will put anything to the side,” she said. “What’s done is done, so what would I still be holding on to something for? I don’t need to ‘punish’ him because I’m not getting back with him.”
