“Jeen-yuhs: A Kanye Trilogy” which is directed by Coodie & Chike, offers an intimate and deeper look into the rapper’s life and career over the last two decades. Durant was so amazed by the project that he said it made him “realize how important Kanye is to like my life.”

He said, “his struggle of trying to get on and become a rapper… nobody took him seriously as a rapper and for him to go from that to where he is now… for him to predict all of this sh*t; that’s what the documentary was all about. He knew what he was about to do and he was calling everything out.” Durant added, “it was just profound to like hear these conversations he was having with him and his mom… like I get it. I get why Kanye is the way he is and we always talk about we want the old Kanye back. He was like this too back then; ranting and confident.”

The doc which shows the superstar in his earliest days, then takes us through to the present, has been getting great feedback since it was released earlier this year and people are still talking about it! One Twitter user recently said,

“Just finished Jeen-Yuhs. Let me just say this was one of the most beautiful documentaries I’ve ever seen. The scenes with Kanye were amazing, but the fact we got so much insight on Coodie and Chike the men behind the man, it made me so happy. Love Kanye man, I’m glad to be a fan!” Another said, “The Kanye West documentary is really special. Regardless of how conflicting he is as a person, his story is just so inspiring. Also – a supportive parent who believes in you is a game-changer. A third added, “#JeenYuhs this documentary is so dope, #Kanye is a genius. Kanye is one of the true definition of keep your eye on the prize and go for what you truly believe in your heart what you were destine to great at.”
