The slideshow was leaked by students of the journalism program at Louisville’s DuPont Manual High School after filing an open records request. In one slide discussing violence, it informs Kentucky State Police cadets to “meet violence with greater violence” and included three quotes from Hitler’s manifesto, “Mein Kampf”. One of the quotes mentioned in the presentation said, “The very first essential for success is a perpetually constant and regular employment of violence.”
As reported by MSN, KSP spokesman Joshua Lawson claimed the quotes were placed in the presentation to address the topic at hand. However, he said he does not know if the slideshow was still used to train cadets.
“The presentation touches on several aspects of service, selflessness, and moral guidance. All of these topics go to the fundamentals of law enforcement such as treating everyone equally, service to the public, and being guided by the law.”

Gov. Andy Beshear said in a statement that he was disgusted by the leaked presentation and called it “unacceptable.”
This is absolutely unacceptable. It is further unacceptable that I just learned about this through social media. We will collect all the facts and take immediate corrective action.”
