Kentucky Sheriff Arrested After Punching Teen Girl At High School Basketball Game

An Oswley County, Kentucky sheriff was taken into custody by his own coworkers after punching a teen girl at a high school girls basketball game, where he was also an assistant coach.

The incident occurred Dec. 3, as Oswley County played against Perry County. Video of the event shows a confrontation on the court, with Brent Lynch running across the floor where he seems to strike a female player amid the chaos.

According to NBC, Lynch is facing up to one year in jail if he is convicted.

It’s been reported that the couch has been suspended from his basketball coaching organization, and it is uncertain what his status is with the sheriff’s office. The office declined comment to Lex18.
