The girlfriend of one of the brave men who sadly lost his life on Tuesday night after 17-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse went on a shooting rampage, is speaking out.

“He pushed me out of the way, like he was telling me to run off, and I tried to grab him,” Hannah Gittings said to CNN. “I should have been there, but there was going to be no changing his mind.”

Huber and his girlfriend were in Kenosha late Tuesday night during protests. 26-year-old Huber was fatally shot by Kyle who was roaming the streets heavily armed. His girlfriend adds that Huber approached the shooter after he had already shot and killed the first victim.

“He did a … heroic thing.”
Per the criminal complaint, Huber reached for the suspect’s gun while holding his skateboard in an attempt to save others. Kyle then shot him and Huber died.
“He did not deserve to die,” Gittings added. “This kid just snatched any chance for him to have been able to live the life that he deserved to live.”
Rittenhouse is facing multiple charges, including first degree murder. He claims he acted in self defense.
