Keke Wyatt Tearfully Reveals During Performance That Her Unborn Baby Has A Severe Genetic Disorder

During a recent performance, songstress Keke Wyatt tearfully revealed that her unborn baby has been diagnosed with a severe genetic disorder. Just three weeks ago, we learned that Keke was expecting her 11th child, shared with her husband Zackariah Darring.

While performing at the City Winery on Sunday (Mar. 13), Keke updated fans that things have sadly taken a turn in her pregnancy. While belting out an emotional Gospel song, Keke shared her own testimony. Reflecting on her son Rahjah’s past battle with Leukemia, she sung out, “When the doctors told me that my son Rahjah had Leukemia cancer … I said Hallelujah.”

Keke then announced that doctors have now warned her about her unborn baby, who has been diagnosed with a severe genetic disorder called Trisomy 13 — which is a rare chromosomal disorder in which all or a portion of chromosome 13 appears three times. Tearfully belting out, Keke sang, “And recently I found out the doctor say my baby has Trisomy 13.” Per Medline, those diagnosed with Trisomy 13, also called Patau syndrome, often experience “Heart defects, brain or spinal cord abnormalities, very small or poorly developed eyes (microphthalmia), extra fingers or toes, an opening in the lip (a cleft lip) with or without an opening in the roof of the mouth (a cleft palate), and weak muscle tone (hypotonia).” Reportedly, few babies diagnosed live beyond a few months. #Socialites, let’s please keep Keke, her unborn, and family uplifted in prayer! 💙🙏🏽
