Katt Williams is coming back to the stage four months after his viral Club Shay Shay interview. Netflix released the trailer for the comedian’s upcoming comedy special, titled Woke Foke, streaming live on the platform May 4.
“This is the truth right here,” Williams tells the audience in the brief promotional trailer. “I don’t give a f**k… It’s gonna be some s**t!”
Katt Williams shut down the internet as soon as the new year started when he did his interview with Shannon Sharpe and called out the entire comedy industry. After his video raked in more than 50 million views several other comedians in the game responded to him.
As we previously reported, Williams took shots at a lot of comedians and even accused Kevin Hart of being a Hollywood puppet, suggesting that his career success was artificially inflated. “In 15 years in Hollywood, no one in Hollywood has a memory of going to a sold-out Kevin Hart show, there being a line for him, ever getting a standing ovation at any comedy club,” Williams said. “He already had his deals when he got here…what do you think a plant is?”
In response, Hart took to Twitter, seemingly unfazed by Katt’s comments. “Gotta get that anger up outcha champ…it’s honestly sad. In the meantime…. Please enjoy MY MOVIE TRAILER to my next film “LIFT” which will be dropping on @netflix in 8 days!!!!! There is a moment in the trailer where @gugumbatharaw says “They Really Love You” ….I now know she’s talking about “Katt” 😂😂😂 Mark yo calendars world!!!! This one is SPECIAL!!!!”
Williams still hasn’t addressed his viral interview so it will be interesting to see if he touches on the topic.
