Kanye West Raises $1 Million In T-Shirt Sales For DMX’s Family

After collaborating with Balenciaga to design a T-shirt in memory of DMX, Kanye West has raised $1 million in proceeds to donate to the late rapper’s family.

The shirt sold out within 24 hours after it was announced on DMX’s official Instagram page and proceeds will be donated to help the rapper’s family. The news comes before his life was celebrated and memorialized at a private funeral at the Christian Cultural Center in Brooklyn. Kanye West was in attendance at the Barclays Center memorial on Saturday and helped with production along with hiring visual artist Akeem Smith to design the stage’s layout as reported by Page Six.

The shirt was set at a price of $200 and it’s a black long sleeve T-shirt with a photo of DMX, crosses on his shoulder, and his birthdate, and the date of his death is placed on each sleeve. “In loving memory is printed on the back of the shirt.”
