Kanye West Has Filed To Legally Change His Full Name To ‘Ye’
Kanye West wants to scrub his famous name and has already started making moves to get it done!
According to TMZ, the rapper just filed legal docs in L.A. asking a court to give him a new name in the books. Instead of Kanye Omari West, he simply wants to be called, “Ye” — the nickname he’s gone by for years.

The news site notes that Kanye also wants to drop the “West” from his persona altogether too… which may seem a bit strange to some considering he’s shown pride in his family heritage. So far, it’s not clear why Kanye wants to ditch his real name entirely but if a judge signs off, then Kanye as you know him will be Mr. Ye!
