Kanye West Congratulates Kamala Harris On Being Selected As Biden’s Running Mate: “It’s An Honor To Run Against You”
Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden officially announced California Sen. Kamala Harris as his running mate on Tuesday after pledging to select an African American woman for his ticket. It was a historic decision, making her the first Black woman and first Asian American woman to run for Vice President.

Following the big news, many people including several celebrities celebrated Harris on social media. Rapper and 2020 presidential hopeful, Kanye West is now the latest celeb to congratulate Harris on her VP nomination. Ye tweeted on Saturday,
“I know my mom and Kamala Harris would have been friends … congratulations on being the democratic Vice President nominee 🙏🏾 … all love and respect from the future president 🕊 It’s an honor to run against you.”
Harris has not responded to Kanye yet but she previously spoke out to share her plans with Biden. She tweeted, “@JoeBiden can unify the American people because he’s spent his life fighting for us. And as president, he’ll build an America that lives up to our ideals.”
She added,
“I’m honored to join him as our party’s nominee for Vice President, and do what it takes to make him our Commander-in-Chief.”
