Justin Bieber Can Subpoena Twitter To Identify Sexual Assault Accusers In $20M Defamation Lawsuit

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Terry Green has ruled that Justin Bieber can subpoena Twitter to hand over the identities of his sexual assault accusers in his $20 million defamation lawsuit.

As we reported last month, two woman took to the social platform to accuse the popstar of sexual assault and rape. Following the claims, JB took to his own account to clear his name, uploading numerous hotel receipts, photographs and more, proving his innocence.

Additionally, Bieber’s attorney, Evan N. Spiegel, says, “We just want to uncover who is behind these two accounts, and it may be the same person.” In their complaint, the defendants are listed as Jane Doe 1 and 2, identified only by their twitter names: danielleglvn and ItsnotKadi. Since their full names aren’t yet known, they cannot be served — which is something that can take months for Twitter to comply.

Furthermore, the complaint reads, “The allegations are factually impossible, revealing and evidencing beyond any doubt that her social media post and allegations are a complete fabrication, an elaborate hoax.”
