So heartbreaking and so disturbing. Socialites, a man from Texas casually treated himself to a beer he stole from the store where his wife worked, just hours after decapitating her body. According to FOX Houston, 21-year-old Jared Discus had been married to Anggy Diaz for less than four months before the gruesome murder occurred on Tuesday.
Per the police report, Diaz’s body was found at the pair’s home in Magnolia on Wednesday morning, with her head dismembered from her body. Law enforcement officials noted that the crime scene was covered in blood as they searched for the Hispanic woman’s missing body part, indicating that her murder was brutal, though they had yet to determine what actually resulted in her death.

Discus, who later confessed to the killing, was captured on surveillance cameras walking into the Chepes meat market store where his wife worked that same morning casually stealing a beer and drinking it in the parking lot. Cops were also able to locate what they believe was the murder weapon — a knife — Discus is alleged to have used to behead the woman, who had previously confided in her friend about her husband’s “jealous” behavior.
“He posted a video saying, ‘She is mine,’ to social media, and it was weird because no one was questioning that….it was out of nowhere,” her friend, who chose to remain unnamed, explained to The New York Post. Diaz and Discus tied the knot back in October, but as more details have come out about the pair’s relationship, it would seem as if their marriage was doomed from the start.
Just last month, Diaz attended a Christmas party with her colleagues — her husband was in tow but reportedly stormed off out of the blue. “Everyone was having a good time and he left looking really upset,” the friend continued. The relationship was plagued by domestic violence, but Diaz never felt comfortable disclosing just how bad things were in her marriage out of embarrassment considering she had only married Discus a few months prior.
Discus is alleged to have shown jealous tendencies that were alarming not just to her but also to the people closest to her. Furthermore, Sheriff Troy Guidry said in a statement that there had been prior calls made to the couple’s home for “disturbance,” but nothing to these great lengths.
