Judge Awards Cardi B An Extension To Complete 15-Day Community Service In Strip Club Brawl Case

Good news for Cardi B, who appeared in court on Tuesday in Queens, New York, where she was awarded an extension to complete her 15-day community service stemming from her plea deal in the 2018 strip club brawl case. Back in September, Cardi pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor charges, and said that “part of up growing up and maturing is being accountable for your actions.”

But because she hadn’t completed her sentence, Cardi went back to Queens Criminal Court and was granted an extension until March 1. In a statement by her lawyer, Drew Findling, he said, “Cardi is dedicated to community service and charitable endeavors. She, therefore, appreciates the court giving her until March 1st to complete her community service commitment in Queens, New York.”

During the case, prosecutors claimed the rapper and members of her entourage had targeted several strippers at the Angels Strip Club in Queens. She was initially accused of hurling a hookah at two bartenders after a fight suddenly broke out, and ordered an acquaintance to assault one of the women who was said to have shared an intimate relationship with Offset.

Needless to say, though, Cardi made quite the entrance as she showed up in a figure-hugging white dress, paired with an oversized fur coat and heels. She was also fashionably accessorized with a pair of white shades as she headed to court with her legal team trailing behind.

“These [court extensions] are not uncommon,’’ went on to tell the New York Post. “Cardi is constantly performing community service at community events. Recently, she has been spending more time in Los Angeles, even in New York, with her back-to-school efforts.”

What her attorney didn’t mention was the fact that Cardi’s family has been recently impacted by rapper Takeoff’s passing back in early November, so it would surely be understandable as to why she has yet been able to commit to her community service.

It was confirmed by her legal rep that Cardi will begin her hours starting this week and is required to perform her service in Queens.
