R. Kelly’s fiancée Joycelyn Savage has revealed she’s pregnant with the singer’s baby in her new tell-all memoir, “Love and Joy of Robert.” In one of the excerpts from the 11-page-long book, which was released on Friday, Savage writes that she found out about the joyful news after the “Religious Love” hitmaker had sent her an engagement ring to her home shortly after being sentenced to 30 years in prison for sex trafficking and racketeering.
The 26-year-old soon-to-be mother of one recalled experiencing morning sickness out of the blue, which she initially suspected were Covid-related symptoms. But a pregnancy test later determined that Savage actually had a bun in the oven, which she described as the “most amazing news,” as she rushed to tell her beau about it.

“It was a happy day but an incomplete time in my life. Today I am grateful to God for giving me the most precious gift. Robert is extremely excited about the news that I am having a baby and feels sad that Robert will not be able to be here with us.”
Before the book could be published, R. Kelly is said to have had a read-through to see what stories Savage wanted to share with the public, particularly since most of them are pertaining to their relationship. She told the New York Post that the R&B chart-topper did give his blessing and allowed her to use one Ultrasound photo to share with the world in her tell-all.
“Yes, Robert approved the book and his team has read it through. I wanted pictures of us at concerts, at his house, and lying down together. I told them I wanted exactly what happened,” she retorted. “However, there were moments I didn’t include in this book because I wanted to have a happy ending and story with Robert. I live in one of Robert’s condos and am working on my next book, which will reveal a lot about him that has been tampered by the media. Many secrets.”
And if you thought an 11-page tell-all is too short, Savage tells the publication that she plans to release a second part sometime next year, which will presumably discuss her life as a mother while her fiance is locked behind bars and serving a three-decade-long sentence after being convicted of sex offenses with teenage girls.

In one excerpt of the book, Savage even talks about her estranged relationship with her family, who she said had only ever ignored her pain and suffering. Prior to getting with R. Kelly at 19, she accused her relatives of touching her while consistently leaving her feeling mentally drained and emotionally exhausted.
“Family members touching you despite knowing you were aware of the situation felt as if it was okay for them to do so,” Savage wrote. “It felt normal to me that I was unable to voice my feelings to my parents when all they did was ignore my pain.”
