Joy Behar Accused Of Being Homophobic Over Carl Nassib Joke
The View co-host Joy Behar has been accused of being homophobic over a joke she made about NFL player Carl Nassib who came out about being gay.
As we reported Nassib is the first active NFL player to come out. He made the announcement via his social media on Monday.
During an episode, Behar and her fellow hosts were talking about Carl Nassib’s revelation when Behar said, “I know he’s the first active NFL player ever to come as gay but come on it’s 2021, is this such a big deal?”

She then followed up with, “You know after they said penetration in the end zone they lost me.”
Her co-hosts seemed uncomfortable and reminded Joy that it was a big deal, however, fans didn’t take too well with her ‘joke.’
”Joy Behar makes an in appropriate joke about Carl Nassib and just gets to tell everybody to forget she said it after 10 minutes… If that was a Male, OR a Conservative Cancel culture would crucify them… FIRE THAT F***** HARPY!!! Tweeted one person.
Joy Behar made an “inappropriate” joke while discussing the coming out of NFL player Carl Nassib.
As a flaming homosexual, I didn’t find her joke offensive. At all. #TheView pic.twitter.com/xvqrA76Oj5

Joy then went on to somewhat apologize for her crude joke,
“I just long for the days where you can just be gay in the world and it doesn’t become a big deal. That inappropriate joke I made for daytime television – scratch it. Make believe I never said it. We’ll be right back.”
