On Thursday evening (November 21), news publications like Variety, Deadline, and TMZ shared that attorneys for both parties filed a joint notice with the court earlier in the day. The court documents stated that “all claims against Defendant in the above-captioned action are hereby dismissed with prejudice,” meaning the claims cannot be filed again.

Currently, it’s unclear if the parties arrived at some sort of deal; however, the news hits just days after Jonathan Majors and his current girlfriend, actress Meagan Good, announced their engagement. The headline-breaking news came about a year and a half after the couple was first romantically linked in May 2023.

Grace Jabbari’s federal assault and defamation lawsuit against ex-boyfriend Jonathan Majors was originally filed in March 2024 in New York federal court. Before her filing, Grace Jabbari and Jonathan Majors made headlines upon his domestic violence arrest in New York City on March 25, 2023.

The ‘Creed’ star was arrested just hours after an argument between him and his then-girlfriend turned physical in the backseat of their chauffeured SUV late at night in downtown Manhattan. In December 2023, Majors was convicted of two misdemeanor counts: (1) reckless assault, and (2) harassment.

He was, however, acquitted by the jury on two more serious charges of assault and aggravated harassment. Jabbari then filed her assault and defamation in March 2024, arriving less than a month before Majors was sentenced to 52 weeks of a domestic violence intervention program and probation in April 2024.

With all the headline-breaking news stemming from Jonathan Majors and Grace Jabbari’s 2023 incident in New York City, the Marvel and ‘Creed‘ actor lost several partnerships, movie roles, and other deals. The fast-rising actor experienced a fast fall from stardom; however, in June 2024, Hollywood Unlocked honored Jonathan Majors at its Fourth Annual Impact Awards. He tearfully accepted the “Perseverance Award,” presented by life coach Iyanla Vanzant.

In her assault and defamation lawsuit, Grace Jabbari claimed that her ex-boyfriend allegedly continued to defame her after his guilty verdict to maintain his innocence. Majors has repeatedly denied Jabbari’s abuse claims. Additionally, in her filing, she noted that during an interview with ‘Good Morning America,’ he continued to claim that he had “never laid [his] hands on a woman,” despite being convicted in their case.

In her lawsuit, Jabbari sought multiple damages and provided vivid details of previously alleged incidents of “both verbal and physical abuse” from Majors. She listed a series of alleged rage-filled incidents involving Majors from nearly the beginning of their relationship in 2021 until the 2023 car incident in New York City.
