Representatives of Joe Exotic reportedly spent $10,000 at one of President Trump’s hotels as a way to have the “Tiger King” star pardoned from jail.

Joe Exotic’s representative Eric Love stated his legal team has been in contact with Washington D.C. officials to arrange a pardon from President Trump. According to Pink News, Exotic’s team has been seeking a pardon since April after the president said during a coronavirus briefing that he would consider pardoning the Netflix star. In an attempt to capture the president’s attention, the team has also spent thousands of dollars at one of Trump’s hotels.
Exotic also released a message to fans via social media asking to help him get pardoned by Trump. He writes, “Please pick up a phone on Monday and call your congressman and ask everyone you know to support asking President Trump to sign my Pardon and make this right so I don’t have to miss another Christmas without my loved ones just as you wouldn’t want to. I would love for some of you that have the power to pick up a phone and contact some pretty influential people to do so, so I could go home before something happens to my father or Dillon.”

The outlet also noted Florida congressman Matt Gaetz said earlier this month the president should pardon Exotic and himself before leaving office in January.
“President Trump should pardon Michael Flynn, he should pardon the Thanksgiving turkey, he should pardon everyone, from himself to his administration officials to Joe Exotic if he has to.”
