Jeremy Renner’s Injuries From Snowplow Accident Reportedly ‘Worse Than Anyone Knows,’ Actor Expected To Undergo More Surgeries Amid Recovery

Jeremy Renner’s injuries from his snowplow accident earlier this month are said to be worse than anyone would’ve thought as the Marvel star is expected to undergo several more surgeries in the coming weeks. While Renner has since posted an update about his health in a short video on Twitter — where he was getting his read rubbed while laying in a hospital bed — despite his improved condition, sources say the actor has a long way to go before he’ll even be able to walk again.

As previously reported, Renner was run over by his snowplow near his home in Reno, Nevada on New Year’s Day,  which crushed his torso and chest before he was airlifted to a hospital with blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries. According to Radar Online, while the 52-year-old has made tremendous improvements in the past two weeks, he is nowhere near from being in the clear just yet.

“It’s much worse than anyone knows,” the publication’s insider reveals. “Jeremy is very aware of the fact that he almost died out there.” It was further reported that Renner’s injuries were so severe, doctors had to reconstruct his entire chest, with more procedures expected to follow pertaining to the lesion on his leg. “Doctors tend to space out operations to allow time for the body’s natural healing process to kick in, and that’s the case here.”

The devastating accident occurred shortly after Renner had taken notice of a family member stranded in the snow not far from his home. The “Avengers” star didn’t hesitate to jump into action and offer his assistance when he got his Kässbohrer PistenBully snowplow and utilized the vehicle to get the other car out of the deep snow it was surrounded by.

The snowplow, however, began to roll down the road, and in an attempt to stop it, he was run over and almost died, with TMZ at the time reporting that Renner had extreme difficulty breathing while blood was gushing down from his head in the freezing cold.

During a press conference held by Sheriff Darin Balaam earlier this month, he shared, “On Sunday morning at 8.55am a 911 call was received for a crash, involving a snowcat vs a pedestrian. The subject has been run over by a snowcat in the area of Mount Rose Highway.”

Renner is expected to recover, but he’s not entirely out of the clear yet, with more surgeries expected to follow later this month.
