As Jennifer Lopez gears up for the release of her new movie ‘The Mother,’ which premieres on Netflix on May 12, two days before Mother’s Day, she is making her rounds with different news outlets. It is also reported that her upcoming album, ‘This Is Me … Now‘ is due to release in the summer/fall.
While making a stop at the ‘Today‘ show, J.Lo sat for an interview with ‘Today‘ host Hoda Kotb. Meanwhile, her 77-year-old mother Guadalupe Rodriguez sat on the sidelines speaking with another host, Savannah Guthrie. However, the contents of their private conversation ended up being shared with the rest of the world.

51-year-old Guthrie would later have Rodriguez repeat, on-air, what was told off-camera. Guthrie asked Rodriguez, “When you talked about Ben, what did you tell me?” The proud mama went on to answer, speaking directly to her 53-year-old A-list daughter, “I knew that you would always get back together because I prayed for 20 years that you would.”
J.Lo said, “Ok,” then rolled her eyes, as if this wasn’t the first time that she had heard this confession from her mother. Speaking to Kotb, J.Lo urged the host to resume their original conversation, adding, “Let’s keep going.”

As a quick refresher, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck first got engaged in 2002. They were inseparable up until their split in 2004. Then 20 years later in 2022, the couple reunited and finally tied the knot.
During their time apart, J.Lo had married 54-year-old Latin star Marc Anthony, and had two children, 15-year-old twins Max and Emme. In 2011, J.Lo and Marc separated and in 2014, their divorce was final.

Then in March 2019, J.Lo got engaged to 47-year-old New York Yankees legend Alex Rodriguez, after dating for a couple of years. But in March 2021, the two ended up calling off their engagement.
Meanwhile, in 2005, Ben Affleck got married to 51-year-old actress Jennifer Garner. the two actors went on to have three children together, two daughters and a son: 17-year-old Violet, 14-year-old Seraphina, ad 11-year-old Samuel.
In 2015, the couple revealed that they were separating, and in 2018, their divorce was finalized.
