Jennifer Lopez Didn’t Think It Was In Her Best Interest To Stay With Alex, “Can’t Trust Him”

According to multiple reports Jennifer Lopez was the one who ultimately decided to pull the plug on her engagement to A Rod.

PEOPLE reports that Lopez, 51, broke up with Rodriguez, 45 because she can’t trust him.

“She insisted on it. There are are too many issues that are unresolved,” said a close friend.

Sources claimed that despite trying to make it work after their initial breakup announcement, Lopez just couldn’t trust him anymore and the thought of any indiscretions became too much.

“She has been pretty miserable,” added the friend, “and didn’t think it was in her best interests to stay with Alex.”

Jennifer is working on her career and spending time with her kids. Her ex husband Marc Anthony has also lent a helping hand.

“Jennifer has been in these difficult situations before. She is not one to sit around and cry,” added the friend. “Her kids make her the happiest. She is doing well.”

“Jennifer and Marc have a great relationship,” says the friend. “Having him around while she has had to work abroad has been very comforting.”

Another source confirmed that this is the end for JLO and A Rod.

“They will try to be friends, and there is respect there,” said the Miami source. “But they are definitely going their separate ways.”
