The 44-second trailer was released on Friday which shows Hudson singing Aretha’s hit song RESPECT in a capella. That is followed by a dramatic transition into the fill song with Hudson singing as the letters RESPECT flash up behind her in massive bright letters.

It was announced earlier this year that Hudson would be taking on this role as the Queen of Soul which made since given Hudsons love for the late singer.

This film is said to follow the life of Franklin from her time singing in the choir at her father’s church to her rise to stardom.
