While he may be a hit-making, award-winning artist, Jelly Roll, born Jason Bradley DeFord, has quit social media due to being relentlessly “bullied” about his weight, according to the Country music star’s wife Bunnie Xo, whom he married in 2016 after one year of dating.

In a TikTok video snippet promoting her upcoming Wednesday (April 24) episode of her ‘Dumb Blonde‘ podcast, Bunnie Xo, real name Alisa DeFord, explained, “My husband got off the internet because he is so tired of being bullied about his f***ing weight, and that makes me want to cry because he is the sweetest angel baby.”

In the clip shared Sunday (April 21), Bunnie Xo said that although the 39-year-old Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter with multiple No. 1s “doesn’t show it,” all of the negative comments made about him online “really do hurt him.”

The 44-year-old singer and model continued to say that she was being very vulnerable with her listeners, telling them, “The internet can say whatever the f**k they want about you, and they say, ‘Well you’re a celebrity. You’re supposed to be able to handle it.’ No, the f**k we’re not. Enough is enough.”

Bunnie Xo continued to speak about the effects and impact that cyberbullying has on her husband Jelly Roll, causing her to urge people to think twice before they hop on social media and leave a nasty and hateful comment under someone’s post.

Jelly Roll’s wife begged, “Don’t bully people, because you never know where they are mentally. There are a lot of people who are not as strong as me, that are on the internet, and they don’t deserve to f***in’ be bullied.” Bunnie Xo concluded her rant by simply asking for critics to “leave me and my family the f**k alone.”

Jelly Roll has been open about his struggles with his weight. In his documentary, ‘Jelly Roll: Save Me,’ he recalled once being told that he was “too fat to be in the music business” and that he would never succeed. Earlier this month, he also told PEOPLE that he has lost 70 pounds while training to participate in the upcoming 2 Bears 5K on May 7 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California.

The “Son of a Sinner” singer, who revealed that he weighed more than 500 pounds in 2015, said, “I’m probably down 70-something pounds. I’ve been really kicking a**, man. I’m doing two to three miles a day, four to six days a week. I’m doing 20 to 30 minutes in the sauna and six minutes in a cold plunge every day. I’m eating healthy right now. I feel really good. I was thinking, I plan on losing another 100, 100-and-something [pounds]. If I feel this good down this weight, man, I can only imagine what I’m going to feel like by the time I go on tour.”
