Social Media Reacts To J.D. Vance Seemingly Compare Kamala Harris to Jeffrey Epstein

Donald Trump and J.D. Vance have come under fire for their personal attacks on Vice President, Kamala Harris.

On Sunday, August 18, Vance, 40, appeared on Fox News Sunday, where he launched a strong critique of Harris’ policies. He asserted that Trump’s campaign is thriving, even in light of the Republican Party’s worries regarding Harris, 59, gaining ground in the polls.

“Giving Kamala Harris control over inflation policy, Shannon, it’s like giving Jeffrey Epstein control over human trafficking policy,” Vance said, speaking to host Shannon Bream. “The American people are much smarter than that. They don’t buy the idea that Kamala Harris represents a fresh start. She is more of the same.”

Social media users swiftly highlighted that, despite Harris having no ties to Epstein—who faced charges for the sex trafficking of minors in 2019 and passed away in prison—both Trump and third-party presidential hopeful Robert F. Kennedy Jr. have had past associations with Epstein.

“If my running mate was in numerous photos and videos with Epstein, I’d do anything to avoid saying his name,” one person on X said.

If you recall, Trump and Epstein were spotted together on multiple occasions, with the former president describing him as a “terrific guy.” Additionally, Politico revealed in 2017 that Trump had flown at least once on one of Epstein’s private jets and that the two had exchanged personal phone numbers, among various other links.

During a March appearance on the Flagrant podcast, Kennedy, 70, acknowledged his acquaintance with Epstein and admitted to having flown on his aircraft, stating, “You don’t realize these people are swamp creatures until all this information surfaces.”

This isn’t the first instance of a member of Trump’s campaign drawing controversial comparisons about Harris. On Saturday, August 17, Trump made remarks concerning the vice president’s appearance at a campaign rally in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.

In what appeared to be a nod to a recent Time magazine cover showcasing an illustrated portrait of Harris, Trump remarked, “Never call a woman beautiful, because that will mark the end of your political career, please,” according to ABC News.

“But I say that I am much better looking. I’m a better-looking person than Kamala,” Trump said later on, per the outlet. “They said, ‘No, her biggest advantage is that she’s a beautiful woman.’ I’m going, ‘Huh?’ I never thought of that. I’m better looking than she is.”
