On Friday, Jamie said in new court documentation that he was not the one responsible for sending his daughter to a mental institution in 2019 and has shown nothing but “unconditional love” for her. He added that in 2018, he was not in control of making decisions regarding Britney’s health but according to Page Six, fans learned that she was sent there against her will which led to the #FreeBritney movement.
“Although I did not formally step down as Conservator of the Person until September 2019, I had not been in control of my daughter’s medical treatment since late 2018, when, due to my own personal health issues, I had to step back in this role,”

The court documentation says Jodi Montgomery along with Britney’s former attorney Sam Ingham who committed her to a mental institution. However, Montgomery said she was working under Jamie’s rules as she was not in charge of the conservatorship in 2019.
“It is unequivocally NOT TRUE that it was Ms. Montgomery and Sam Ingham ‘who admitted Ms. Spears to a facility in early 2019,’ her rep said.
Britney wants her father immediately removed from the conservatorship citing that she was instantly punished for not going on tours and was limited from having more children, communicating with friends, and other factors.
