A spokesperson for Jamie Foxx is speaking out to deny a rumor that has been floating around about the actor’s health.

As previously reported, on May 30, podcast host and gossip columnist A.J. Benza claimed he knew exactly what happened to Foxx. He said one of his close sources told him, “Jamie had a blood clot in his brain after he got the shot. He did not want the shot, but the movie he was on, he was pressured to get it.” He said on the “Ask Dr. Drew podcast.” The “blood clot in the brain caused him at that point to be partially paralyzed and blind.” The claim was later fact-checked by @Newsweek. Not only was it found to be unverified, but now someone from Jamie’s team is speaking out to shut these rumors down.

Foxx’s representatives told @NBCNews in an email that Benza’s claim is “completely inaccurate.”

More On Jamie Foxx’s Health Scare

As we previously reported, Jamie Foxx was in the middle of filming in Atlanta for his Netflix movie Back in Action when he experienced becoming ill. The Academy Award winner’s daughter, Corinne Foxx, issued a statement on April 12 revealing that the actor suffered a “medical complication” the day prior.

She said at the time, “We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday,” shared Corinne in a statement written on behalf of the family. “Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers,” the statement read. “The family asks for privacy during this time.”

Since then, people have been searching for more details about his health, with some speculating the worse. One report even claimed that his condition has worsened and Foxx’s loved ones were “preparing for the worst.” However, his daughter Corrine shut those reports down in another statement saying,

“Sad to see how the media runs wild,” she wrote in an Instagram story back in May. My Dad has been out of the hospital for weeks and is recuperating. In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday! Thanks for everyone’s prayers and support!”

Jamie Foxx has shared a post since news of his hospitalization to confirm that he is doing better but he has not yet shown himself to the public. Until then, let’s continue to wish him a speedy recovery.
