Jamie Foxx appears to be getting better by the look of things.
Almost a month after his daughter Corinne shared to fans that her father had been hospitalized following a medical emergency, the actor has given his first update via Instagram, saying he’s feeling blessed. Details pertaining to his hospitalization still remain unknown, and while a number of conflicting reports have reported on the situation, saying multiple different things pertaining to Foxx’s health, the 55-year-old has taken to Instagram to speak for himself — or so we think.
“Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed,” Foxx wrote in his latest IG post. He then took to his Instagram Story to give a shout-out to Nick Cannon, who was announced to have taken over his “Beat Shazam” show while Foxx continues to recover at the hospital. “Appreciate ya my boy @NickCannon.”
An official statement by the game show’s Instagram confirmed Cannon as Foxx’s replacement in a statement that read, “This season, not wanting fans of the game show to miss a minute of the fun, Nick Cannon has offered to fill in as guest host for his friends, Jamie and Corinne Foxx.”
Kelly Osbourne has been announced as the show’s DJ, it was further revealed. “Everyone at FOX Entertainment wishes Jamie well as he continues his recovery, and we greatly appreciate Nick’s willingness to jump in and help this summer.”
It’s still unclear as to why Foxx was hospitalized last month, aside from the fact that he suffered some sort of medical complication, which his family has chosen not to disclose to the public.
His daughter shared the heartbreaking news on social media as she wrote, “Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time.”
