James Murdoch Resigns From The Board of Directors At News Corp

Earlier today, James Murdoch, the son of Rupert Murdoch, announced that he is stepping down from the board of directors at News Corp.

James Murdoch sent a resignation letter to NewsCorp and said ‘My resignation is due to disagreements over certain editorial content published by the Company’s news outlets and certain other strategic decisions.’ James has been on the board of directors since 2013 and previously served as the CEO of 21st Century Fox until last year after it was purchased by the Walt Disney Company.

As reported by the Daily Mail, the youngest son of the Murdoch family has been very outspoken about the content presented by Fox News and other news outlets. James and his wife Kathryn recently spoke out against the media platforms on their coverage surrounding the Australian bush fires and climate change.

A statement about James’ departure from the board was not released from his father’s rep.
